Inauguration of the new Bar Ilan Mikvah celebrated in Rechovot.

The luxurious state of the art Bar Ilan mikvah is finally completed. This is thanks to the intensive efforts of the chairman of the Rechovot Religious Council, Rabbi Eldad Gadassi. Rabbi Gadassi partnered with Merkaz L’Taharat Ha’Mishpacha, the Ministry of Religious Services, their director-general Mr. Oded Flus and the director of the Department of Religious Buildings, Mrs. Debbie Eiferman. 

The prominent guest list attending the inauguration included the Rabbi Mordechai Auerbach, shlit”a president of Merkaz L’Taharat Ha’Mishpachah,  CEO of Merkaz L’Taharat Ha’, Rabbi Chaim Levy, shlit”a, Minister of Religious Affairs, Rabbi Yaakov Avitan, Director General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Mr. Oded Flus, Chairman of the Religious Council of Rechovot, Rabbi Eldad Gadassi, Director of the Department of Religious Buildings, Mrs. Debbie Eiferman, and the Mayor of Rechovot, Mr. Rachamim Malul. The Rabbinical leadership of Rechovot senior city officials and mikvah attendants were also present at the inauguration.
 

The recently appointed Minister of Religious Affairs, Rabbi Yaakov Avitan, spoke about the need to increase the awareness and funding toward the mitzvah of taharah. He commented on the limited funding, which is inadequate compared to the costs of building mikvaos in Eretz Yisrael. Rabbi Avitan was effusive in his praise of all those involved in creating such beautiful, impressive mikvahs such as the state-of-the-art mikvah in Rechovot.
