Mechola, a growing modern orthodox settlement with a warm and growing population, faces significant challenges due to the state of its local mikvah. The current mikvah is outdated and no longer meets Department of Health standards.
While the facility has had cosmetic renovations in the past, the infrastructure—including plumbing, electrical, and heating systems—was not replaced. During the winter, water freezes, rendering the tevilah very difficult.
ecently, a community center was built near the mikvah, necessitating a new, discreet entrance to provide privacy and comfort for the women using the facility.
