Kalanit is a small community settlement near the Kineret, under the jurisdiction of the Marom Galil regional council. The settlement was established in 1982, by "Hapoel Mizrachi”, to provide a housing solution to the youth of the moshavim in the vicinity.
The moshav is home to over thirty-five religious and traditional families.
The Mikvah in Kalanit was built over thirty-five years ago. Its dilapidated condition is offensive to the residents and is the determining factor that prevents the women from keeping the mitzvah of taharah.
Due to these circumstances, Merkaz L’Taharat Ha’Mishpacha has undertaken the complete renovation of the existing Mikvah. The existing plumping and electrical infrastructure will be renewed, and the building will be gutted, with to allow a beautiful modernized Mikvah to be built in its stead.
The new Mikvah will provide the women of Kalanit with a luxurious pampering experience as befitting this important Mikvah.
