Biriya is a mixed community with Modern Orthodox and secular residents in the North, near the city of Tzefas.
Biriya is under the jurisdiction of the Merom Ha’Galil Regional Council.
The town is named for the Biriya Junction. The entrance to Tzefas is along the same route.
Travelers to Amuka and to the Kever of Rabbi Yonasan ben Uziel may be familiar with this settlement.
