Orah is a settlement founded in 1950 by immigrants from Yemen and Morrocco. The two communities live together and have become one community.

The current mikvah is over thirty years old and is extremely old-fashioned and run-down. Extensive renovation is needed to turn the facility into an inviting and luxurious premise.

To our dear family and friends,

What can we say? When we took on this project to renovate מקווה אורה we had no idea how or if we would be able to reach our goal.  Your outpouring of support and care was beyond all our expectations and we are amazed and touched beyond words.  We have been updated periodically and are excited to share that things are really moving on with the building work.

Although we have reached our goal for this particular project there are still many מקוואות in need of renovation.  In taking on this project this we hoped to make the mikva attractive and encourage more people to make use of it.  We have requested the organization of טהרת המשפחה to therefore defer any additional donations made on behalf of our project, at this point towards these other מקוואות as a זכות for us and all of כ"י.

Thank you for joining us in this project, Thank you for enabling us to reach our goal, and thank you for doing so, so graciously and willingly.  May הקב"ה repay each and every one of you and may we all see ישועות בקרוב.

Best wishes,
J and E Reisner
